TEAR AWAY (2016): Trailer

Tear Away follows two young lovers who are separated by fate. Both live in their own separate worlds and are unable to be with each other. They can hear, see and feel the love for each other, but all they can touch is the walls that confine them.

Tear Away started as a high school video art  project in March of 2015 and has since developed into a short film. It was nominated by other film students at Waterloo Collegiate Institute to premiere at the Charlie Awards Film Festival, however, declined due to expanding the project and refusing to rush.

The story is presented similar to a projector slideshow but also involves stop-motion. All illustrations are individually drawn by hand with pencil, pencil crayons and black pen. The art style is inspired by Tim Burton and the 2013 video game, Don't Starve
